We had books called Face Books, which included the names and pictures of everyone who lived in the student dorms. At first, he built a site and placed two pictures, or pictures of two males and two females. Visitors to the site had to choose who was "hotter" and according to the votes there would be a ranking.

Branding Strategy of Coca Cola Company

Successful branding strategy of Coca Cola making it distinguishable among competitors and also emerging as most desirable drink to their customers.
Do you know Coca Cola is the most famous brand around the world and why? Is it good in taste? or looks nice or what the other matter that make it good in all territories around the world.

Pharmacist, John Styth Pemberton first introduced the refreshing taste of Coca-Cola in Atlantaw, Georgia then it covered the whole world due to prudent marketing and innovative branding.

Coca-Cola is the amalgamation of two ingredients: Cocaine and Caffeine. The cocaine was derived from the coca leaf and the caffeine from kola nut, leading to the name Coca-Cola (the "K" in Kola was replaced with a "C" for marketing purposes).

A can of Coke (12 fl ounces/355 ml) has 39 grams of carbohydrates (all from sugar, approximately 10 teaspoons), mg of sodium, 0 grams fat, 0 grams potassium, and 140 calories. The caramel coloring found in Coca-Cola is produced using sulfites and ammonia, which can lead to a distinct sulfuric taste at times.

The main ingredients are: Carbonated water, Sugar (sucrose or high-fructose corn syrup depending on country of origin), Caffeine, Phosphoric acid, Caramel color (E150d), Natural flavorings.

What is Branding?
Branding is one of the paramount part for any business, large or small, retail or B2B. An effective brand strategy gives you a major edge in increasingly competitive markets. But what exactly does "branding" mean? How does it affect a small business like yours?

Simply put, your brand is your promise to your customer. It tells them what they can expect from your products and services, and it differentiates your offering from your competitors'. Your brand is derived from who you are, who you want to be and who people perceive you to be.

Are you the innovative maverick in your industry? Or the experienced, reliable one? Is your product the high-cost, high-quality option, or the low-cost, high-value option? You can't be both, and you can't be all things to all people. Who you are should be based to some extent on who your target customers want and need?
These are the things that John Styth Pemberton knows very well and incorporated successfully to endorse Coca Cola as a brand of carbonated drink.

Coca-Cola has been able to survive and grow in an ever-changing market because of its ability to systematically innovate and deliver new products. In the late 90s the company, typically showing earnings growth of 15-20% per year, turned in three straight years of falling profits. It was apparent that the market was changing and in order to keep up with these changes, Coca-Cola had to move from a single core product to a total beverage company.

A Coca-Cola fountain dispenser was developed for use on the Space Shuttle as a test bed to determine if carbonated beverages can be produced from separately stored carbon dioxide, water and flavored syrups and determine if the resulting fluids can be made available for consumption without bubble nucleation and resulting foam formation.

Brand building techniques by Coca Cola
Inspiring Logo: The famous Coca-Cola logo was created by John Pemberton's bookkeeper, Frank Mason Robinson, in 1885. Robinson came up with the name and choose the logo's distinctive cursive script. The typeface used, known as Spencerian script, was developed in the mid 19th century and was the dominant form of formal handwriting in the United States during that period.

Brand Advertising:
Robinson also played a significant role in early Coca-Cola advertising. His promotional suggestions to Pemberton included giving away thousands of free drink coupons and plastering the city of Atlanta with publicity banners and street car signs.

Brand messaging: Cola Cola management knows very well about brand communication and tactics to listen that communication by their customers. They prepared program and launched a successful campaign which not only presenting the product with innovation but also encouraging their customers using appropriate brand messaging to show long term loyalty and commitment.
