A French manicure is a traditional style of polishing the nails with perfection, where white paint is applied to the tips of the fingernails, and the rest of the nails are given a pink coat or painted with sheer polish that is colored either pale pink or very light beige. The French manicure is very good for short nails and nails that have a moderate length. Before you start giving your nails a French manicure, make sure you have followed the general rule for putting on nail polish. You should prep your nails first by removing old nail polish with acetone remover. Then go and clean your nails and give them a trim.
Following items will require to apply formal french Manicure
- Cotton balls
- Nail polish remover
- Sheer, neutral-color polish
- Opaque, white polish
- Clear, top-coat polish
- Hand moisturizer / Glyercine (Herbal)
- Nail file
- Buffer (optional)
- Cuticle pusher
- Clear, base-coat polish
- Remove old nail polish by using cotton balls and nail polish remover.
- File your nails if it's out of shape.
- Use moisturizer to enhance shine and massage it for 5 mins around hand and nail.
- Dip your hand in luke-warm water and put it there for about 07 to 10 mins.
- Wipe off hands, and then push the cuticles back gently with a cuticle pusher, until they only slightly frame the nail. Take your nail file and shape the tips, (round, square, or somewhere in between). Finish off with a quick buffing over the surface of the nails to make a smooth canvas.
- Next, apply your base coat. One coat of clear will do. If you like, you can precede that by a ridge filler to create an extra-even surface.
- The order in which you apply your color and your white depends on the look you're going for. For a stark-white tip, you'll apply the neutral first -- three strokes, sides and center.
- Then you'll apply the white tip. You can do this using tiny, sticky stencils included in a kit, free-hand (one smooth stroke width-wise), or with a white nail crayon (less common). You only want to color the part of the nail with no skin underneath.
- If you want to soften the white, reverse those steps so you're painting the neutral over the white tip.
- A quick top coat will give the manicure a finished look. DO NOT do anything with your hands until the polish is completely dry. You'll just mess up your hard work.
The above method will enhance the beauty of your nails and make you distinguish and clean around your circle if you become habitual of this practice and also save your money.
